Green Spaces

ACSR is fortunate that our base (APAFC’s Pavilion) overlooks Auchterarder Public (Primrose) Park - a fantastic greenspace for people to enjoy. This park and the other greenspaces within the town are the focus of our Parks & Community Greenspaces group, as we aim to enhance the town’s greenspaces to help Auchterarder become the most active small town in Scotland!

Auchterarder Public Park - New Children’s Play Park:

We were delighted to open our new Children’s Play Park on Saturday 3rd June 2023, with a fantastic celebratory event.

Auchterarder Public Park - Pocket Forest:

As of October 2023, the new Pocket Forest is now open to the public.

Mountain Bike Skills’ Trail & Pump Track Update:

In parallel to the Children’s Play Park, excellent progress has been made with the joint Mountain Bike Skills’ Area & Pump Track part of the project.

A focus group (National Agencies, local residents and commercial partners) has been set up and has meet regularly.
Guidance has been sought from Scottish Cycling and sportscotland.
Invitations for tender bids were invited at the end of October 2022. (A copy of the documentation is available below.)
Further funding was successfully secured, to enable the ultimate vision of both Pump Track ‘Option 3’ and the Mountain Bike Skills’ Area to be delivered.

ACSR secured a lease of the land in the park, planning permission for the project and sourced suitable insurance.
Velosolutions were appointed as the project contractor.
As at March 2025, we are in the very final stages of the construction - and we are looking forward to opening the new facilities as soon as we safely can.
